E-mails can be treacherous. All it takes is a momentary lapse in concentration, a small slip of the fingers, for sensitive messages to be sent to the wrong person. Angry rants about the boss end up in his inbox. Embarrassing secrets are revealed to strangers. The result can be cringeworthy, even dangerous.

Inside AdWords: Extending “Ads by Google” notice
Sunday, October 18th, 2009From time to time youve probably noticed the Ads by Google message on ads around the web — we display this label because we want users to have an awareness and understanding of the ads they see online and where they come from.
As more and more advertisers use rich media ad formats, such as Flash and interactive ads, we want to provide the same benefit to users for those ad formats.
So today were starting to add the “Ads by Google” message to rich media ads in a way thats unobtrusive to your ad creative and the publisher site, but as user-friendly as our current “Ads by Google” notices on other ad formats.
Youll soon notice a small i for “information” icon overlay in the bottom right-hand corner of these ads, which will expand when the user hovers over it. This was specially designed for rich media ads. This new message will appear on your AdWords rich media ads, and will show up on standard AdSense ad units.
Google on an Endless Search
Saturday, October 17th, 2009It started out as a software company with a funny little name. Then it conquered the world of search. And now it’s out to conquer the rest of the world.
Who isn’t Google taking on these days?
The company has taken on Microsoft’s once-dominating Office suite, putting comparable software online — at no cost. It’s locking horns with Apple in a battle for the mobile application market. And now, amazingly, it’s challenging Amazon by offering an electronic book service.
If there’s a market out there, you can bet Google is either in it or planning to be.
