Access 2 Gmail accounts at once

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

This might be helpful but I don’t know if I’ll ever remember to do it this way… We’ll see.

Now, you can visit google.com/accounts and click the link next to “Multiple sign-in.” After you sign into your first account, you can sign in with up to two additional accounts from the new accounts menu in the upper right hand corner of Gmail, then easily toggle back and forth between them. You can even open multiple Gmail tabs — one for each of your accounts.

Duplicate Contacts in Gmail

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Managing a big address book can be a challenge, so it i;s no surprise that the top request for Google contacts is a fast, easy way to merge duplicate contacts. You have been able to merge contacts one-by-one for a while, but now we have added a single button that merges all your duplicate contacts at once. To clean up your contact list in one fell swoop, just click the “Find duplicates” button in the contact manager, review the merge suggestions (and uncheck any suggestions you do not want merged), and hit the “Merge” button.

Google’s ‘Got the Wrong Bob’ Service Seeks to End E-Mail Mishaps – Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News – FOXNews.com

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

E-mails can be treacherous. All it takes is a momentary lapse in concentration, a small slip of the fingers, for sensitive messages to be sent to the wrong person. Angry rants about the boss end up in his inbox. Embarrassing secrets are revealed to strangers. The result can be cringeworthy, even dangerous.

GMAIL FAILURE again…

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

This is a new one I suppose for Gmail… ughhhhh

Contacts temporarily unavailable

Your contact list is temporarily unavailable, which may result in a few issues:

Auto-complete may not work

The contact manager may not load

Chat may not work

We’re working to fix the problem, and in the meantime, you should be able to continue to read and send mail as normal. Thank you for your patience.

Google Voice Player in Gmail

Saturday, September 12th, 2009

Hmmm this is neat and I just enabled it but it does not look like it works for Google Apps yet…

Previously, clicking “Play message” opened a new page in your browser, but starting today, you can play voicemails right in Gmail. Just turn on the Google Voice player from the Gmail Labs tab under Settings and whenever you get a voicemail notification, the player will appear right below the message itself.
